Famous Faces of Skyrim: NPC Character Sliders
Ever wish you could make your Skyrim character look like Aela, Ulfric, Lydia, Farkas, Astrid or Ancano? Now you can! The Famous Faces of Skyrim slider database has sliders for over 50 characters from the game plus several loading screen characters.
I started this slider database because I was getting a lot of requests from Xbox 360 and PS3 players for slider settings for non-player characters in Skyrim. (These requests were in response to my tutorial about creating better looking characters for Skyrim.) Sometimes, I would get multiple requests for the same character. I figured it would be easier just to post the sliders on my website than email them to each person separately.
You can use these screenshots to make your own characters look like characters in the game but please read the warning below about how to correct for inaccuracies in the screenshots. (This is something I'm trying to find a good workaround for.) I've also included save games and esp files for these characters for PC gamers who want to play them. Feel free to email me requests for more characters. I can't promise to make them as I get a lot of requests and am very busy, but I will do my best.
Attention! Skyrim likes to move the position of the sliders around in the character generation screen when you scroll up and down the lists. This affects the accuracy of some of the slider settings in the screenshots. Although I've done my best to avoid any inaccuracies, there's no way to completely avoid this: sometimes the game refuses to show you the correct position. Most of the slider settings (90+%) are accurate, but if something looks a little bit off, you might have to tweak it a bit. Use the screenshot in the last column, "Sliders", to get things lined up properly. Unfortunately, the drop down boxes for Mouth Type, Nose Type, and Eye Type in that image are not accurate slider positions; Lip Type 16, for example, is not necessarily the 16th position on the Mouth Shape slider. This has to do with the way the races are set up in the Creation Kit: because most races share some, but not all features, there are gaps in the numbering scheme which creates offsets in the sliders. Eyes, Noses, Mouths, and Eyebrows just have to be eyeballed, but you shouldn't have any trouble picking the right one by comparing a few of the screenshots. Thanks to Jessica and Ralph for drawing my attention to these discrepancies. Note: I am working to correct any inaccuracies that exist in the sliders. Stay tuned for more updates.
Note: Click the thumbnail to see the full-size images. The save files include all of the screenshots, so even if you don't use the save, you might find downloading the package more convenient. The ReadMe explains how to use the files. When creating your character in the console, it doesn't matter what preset you begin with: as long as all the sliders match up, you should get the right result. (The presets are just saved slider settings.) If you get warnings about missing content, just ignore them. They're harmless.

Note: You're probably going to want to look at your character as soon as you start playing. If the camera seems 'stuck' behind your character's head when you move around instead of being in the normal over-the-shoulder view, just raise your fists and lower them; the normal camera position will be restored.
